So many things we take for granted & problems we aren't exposed to. Helping to make those problems a little easier is life well spent.
Auckland
As youth there are many things we take for granted, from the food on our plate everyday to the clothes on our back, we just don't seem to give acknowledgement to the little things that makes our world a bit brighter. On this expedition I will be venturing into a third world country and participating in a community project to help local villagers with things like constructing simple drainage, building schools and helping out in the orphanage. I will be gaining a taste of the culture and attractions as well as experiencing the great Amazon rainforest and trekking the Cotopaxi and hiking up to the glacier, this both mentally and physically will challenge me to really help step out of my comfort zone and gain new experiences and life skills while also opening new doors for the future. To be able to help out see the smile I can put on people who are less fortunates face, is such a motivation to me and is a real encouragement.
I'm involved in this because as a young individual I believe that life is short and what better way to spend it than being given the opportunity to go out there and give whatever help you can to make a difference. Everyone deserves to experience the better way of life and being able to help those experience it is such a blessing and such a motivation to get out there and do even more?
