In December, I will be travelling to Thailand on a 10 day tikkun olam educational programme with 12-15 other Jewish young adults to learn about Human Trafficking Prevention from grass roots organisations actively working with the affected populations. My goal is to begin to understand the massive human trafficking and child exploitation epidemic in Southeast Asia, learning from the world changers who are fighting these battles on the ground, including multi-faceted human-trafficking task forces, Burmese Refugee organisations, and a local school for at-risk children.
On my return, I hope to raise awareness in the Jewish community and in the New Zealand community about this terrible problem and how it affects people all around the world.
Justifi is a new social activism program connecting Jewish students and young professionals who want to make a difference to circumstances, people and places where they can. Justifi takes you to far away places - into communities plagued by terrible problems but blessed with amazing organizations and people.
It's for Jews who want to build a better world, not just imagine one. It's for Jews who believe that they have a role to play in ending hunger, suffering and exploitation. It's for Jews who believe that their heritage has something very powerful to say about making this world a better place. It's for Jews who know that outrage is not enough. It's for Jews who know that real action is the solution and who want to be a part of it.

The programme fees are approximately NZD$2500 and I am hoping to raise some of the airfare costs as well.
Any help would be much appreciated!
