I am here to raise funds to assist with my journey to compete on the World Stage at the ICF Junior Canoe Sprint World Championships in 2019.

Hi. I'm Tilly Pritchard and I am chasing my dream of becoming a competitor at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. I have always enjoyed participating in sport and started out with water based events as "a nipper" down at my local surf-lifesaving club, Sumner in Christchurch, New Zealand.
From there, at the age of 10 years old, my sporting direction changed when I fell in love with sprint kayaking. I have spent the last 7 years focusing on sprint kayaking. I have achieved National accolades competing for Arawa Canoe Club along the way. I have been selected to represent New Zealand over the last 3 years which has been an amazing journey so far, especially being able to wear the Silver Fern with so much pride! This has been instrumental in gaining experience in international competition against Australia, Japan and other countries in the Asia Pacific Sprint Cup.
Now is the time to step up my game as I take my sporting abilities to the other side of the world and compete against the best of the best in Europe.
Use of funds
The funds will assist with the travel from New Zealand to Europe in 2019. I will be participating in training camps and competing in Italy and Romania. This will allow me to acclimatise to European conditions and recover from the long haul flight.
