Time is a gift for Darlene xx

  • 12.12.22 Update

      12 December 2022

Firstly a mention of appreciation to all our donors and those who've shared our plight among your spaces and connections, we truly value your support.

Annie remains in the care of Mater Hospital, is in a stable condition and continues treatment to improve her kidney function & health.

With Christmas fast approaching and school term drawing to an end, the immediate concern for Himi & Annie is reliable childcare. Childcare would enable Himi to work through the holiday season, and Annie to remain focused on her health progress.

With scarce availability and high costs of childcare, the family have advised some funds raised would be best suited to secure flights for Himis mother (NZ based) to Brisbane who in turn would help with daily care for the 3 younger children.

This would alleviate the extra stress Himi & Annie are currently facing.

  • Medical Update

      28 November 2022

Annie was transfered to Mater Hospital (Brisbane) 2 weeks ago and has thankfully made positive medical progress in this time.

For the time being, doctors are addressing the smaller complications that might interfere with recovery following the intended kidney transplant the medical team are aiming for.

Annie remains in Mater Hospital, is alert and being comforted by all those who've called, sent messages & koha in all forms. On behalf of both Annie & Himi, thank you !!

There's still a road ahead before Annie can reach her goal of returning home to her babies & whanau and there is still a need for financial awhi.

Please continue to keep our whanau in your karakia xx
