A year ago Amanda's life was turned upside down with the shocking news that at the age of 41 she had Head and Neck Cancer. She has been brave and has fought hard for herself and her family but in February this year she learnt that she had Metastatic Head and Neck cancer and it had spread to her Lungs and Bones.
Two weeks ago her Doctors told her that the Cancer has spread even further, and that she only has months to live.
The Doctors have suggested a new treatment that can give her precious time with family and time to find a better treatment, but devastatingly it is not yet funded in New Zealand.
The cost of this treatment is around $4000 per week, which will continue as long as it is needed.
Amanda is a loving wife to her husband and soul mate, a truly devoted Mumma Duck to her two young adult sons. She is the center of her family and adored by them all. She is a daughter, sister and friend that most could only dream of. And a fabulous Early Childhood Teacher, who gives her heart and soul to the children she cares for.

Amanda and her family would like to thank everyone once again for all the love and generous donations. As well as funding Amanda's costly treatments, your donations have made it possible for Amanda and husband Craig to employ the services of a Cancer Scientist, who has found evidenced based complimentary therapies to strengthen and support the chemotherapy and radiotherapy that Amanda is having.
Without your generous donations the cost of these additional therapies would be prohibitive.
This page has been a real positive force in keeping Amanda strong as every donation is seen as a little love for Amanda, who feels overwhelmed and humbled by everyone's love and support.
