Hi team. Just wondering if anything has come out regarding the court hearings in early June? Seems ironic that 'Serviceman M' gets a Queens Birthday Honour and Mark gets prosecuted. I'm sure supporters would appreciate an update.

As one of the pilots who assisted in the recovery of the survivors back to Whakatane said "there are no surprises here".
It is without a doubt not pleasant when you are in a full hazmat suit working in those conditions. I agree it is interesting the pilots and ground crew who on the day of the eruption (and while it was still erupting) recovered all the survivors, got no mention.

How about a proper bio for the support team? I understand from the media it has been set up by John Funnell, which lends credibility. Also note ‘casualties’ spelled incorrectly on the give a little page. Very happy to support Mark. It is important that in the first instance the funds go to fight the court case.

Mark is in the process of assembling a legal team to prepare the defence of the WorkSafe charges. I can confirm the funds will be used to fund the legal challenge and are being held in an accountants trust account.
