Help me drive the conversation for people living with disability. Lets show them what can be done. It's a do over not an ending
Rolleston, Canterbury
My name is Craig Harrington, and I am a lower extremity adaptive athlete in the sport of CrossFit. Last year was a phenomenal year me for me. From competing next worlds best in grin of 6000 people and the Torian Pro to bringing home the gold medal on the world stage at the WheelWod CrossFit Games.
This year has started off with a bang also. I have provisionally qualified in 15th place worldwide through to the next round to qualify for the adaptive CrossFit Games by Wheelwod and I have secured a spot to compete again at the Torian Pro in Australia in May.
In my professional life I am a prosthetic technician, leading the workshop in Christchurch New Zealand. I produce artificial limbs and help get people back on their feet. I have been in the industry as a professional for 5 years and have loved every minute. In 2020 I decided to go back to school to get my level 4 and 5 certificate in sports leadership and personal training with the hope that I could help other adaptive athletes express themselves in sports or just have more full lives. It was here I found CrossFit when I interned at a CrossFit box. The community and the methodology were exactly what I was wanting. Since then, CrossFit HQ has given my community the chance to express themselves at the highest level and has put adaptive athletes on the map. 😁🐉
I am needing your help to raise funds to go towards travel and accommodation for the Torian Pro and all going well for The CrossFit Games in Texas in August this year.
