I need help funding my short film 'To Tell A Vision', giving a chance for black representation on the screen in New Zeland.

Hi everyone,

My name is Theo Shakes, I'm an 18 year old black filmmaker here in Auckland. This year I'm attending South Seas Film School as a Writer/Director. I've been writing and directing short films for the last 8 years and this year I've begun working on my short film 'To Tell A Vision'.

It's rare in New Zealand to see black people represented on film/television but nows the time. The short film is set in 1964 and focuses on a young black kid who discovers a TV from the future and sees a world in which he can be a part of.

Use of funds

In order to make this short film, I'm looking for help to cover the various costs involved. Any money raised will go towards covering the following:

- Production & Post-production expenses.

- Festival entries.

Thank you!
