Together for Gill

I kindly ask that this page remain within the Hastings Health Centre staff group and the link NOT be shared on social media or more widely, as this was Gill’s stipulation in allowing us to create this page for her.

As many of you know, our friend and colleague Gill is going through a journey with her health. After facing major surgery earlier in the year and navigating recovery, she is now facing new challenges, prompting her recent resignation from Hastings Health Centre after nearly two decades of service. Gill is now focusing fully on her health and wellbeing as she begins a new drug therapy regime, which unfortunately is not currently funded.

As most of you already know, Gilly has given so much to others over her long career. Whether through her nursing or her collegial friendships, she has shown genuine care to everyone around her. Her calm presence, gentle humour, and steadying hand have made her the kind of person you can always turn to in a crisis. She’s also one of those "suck it up and get on with it" people who would never ask for anything in return, which is exactly why, as a team, we should be stepping up for her now.

I’ve set up this Givealittle page to contribute towards Gill's self-funded medication costs, help with day-to-day expenses, or simply give her the space to focus fully on her health. Every single donation, no matter how big or small, is a gift of support that will mean a great deal to Gill.
