We went from celebrating Christmas 2024 together, to Amanda being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive leukemia - barely two weeks later, after a sudden onset of the illness. Intensive lifesaving chemotherapy had to start immediately in Palmerston North.
There has been little time to plan. Amanda and Mike's business relies on Amanda being able to travel and work. Right now both of them are focusing on the fight ahead.
Amanda has been the most supportive, generous and kind friend who, along with Mike, have touched the lives of many. Active in the community, Amanda has always gone the extra mile for others. We would like to extend the opportunity to help Amanda and Mike to relieve some of the financial stress over the months to come

Amanda, Sarah and Kerry came together through their love of music and struck up a close friendship. It's the friends we meet along the way that helps us with the journey ahead which is why Kerry and Sarah have set up this page.
Use of funds
Amanda and Mike will have no income because they cannot work for at least 10 months. Your generosity however big or small will help go towards covering their living expenses including petrol money for Mike's trip back and forth to Palmerston North

Stem cell transplant needed 19 April 2025
As of April Amanda has learnt that she will need a stem cell transplant. This means many more months away, even further from home, in Wellington. Your generosity so far has given Amanda and Mike some breathing apace, when Amanda has managed to get out of hospital.
