Come on people, we really, really need your help with this!

Every dollar goes directly to pay for a community (stray) cat spay or neuter.

    Tax-deductible.

'Too many kittens' is problem which could be humanely resolved within a decade if the political will could be found to fund public awareness/education programmes about the importance of de-sexing 'companion' animals, and low-cost, access-facilitated spay and neuter clinics. Until we reach that tipping point, we need your money to do what we can.

  • "Master Ace"

      11 January 2023

We are over $3000 - hooray! Here is just one of our many, many success stories - the more funding we can raise, the more of these we can make happen!:

"This is Master Ace. He was a wild Tom Cat until Sarah kindly trapped & desexed him. Then I took over caring for the colony. At one stage there were up to 30 cats on this industrial property. One by one trapped, neutered & returned them, young ones were all able to be rehomed. Then I spent about a year slowly gaining their trust by feeding them every single day. It took quite a while to be able to touch Ace but once he discovered pats were nice then he became the smoochiest most loving lad. By TNR’ing all the cats the colony has remained at 4 resident cats for over a year now. They are proof that TNR works as has stopped the cycle of endless breeding. They all live very happily at the property. They even have their own wooden house that they curl up on woolen blankets inside when it’s cold."

  • Last year .....

... CCC was able to spay/neuter more than 1500 community cats!

We will never be able to 'adopt our way out' of cat over-population and the suffering it causes. The focus has to be on de-sexing (and education).

Ten days in and this appeal has raised more than $2K! - every donation directly helps to stop the cycle of too many unwanted kittens, so please donate and keep on sharing!

  • RUN OUT OF FUNDS!

..... so we have had to put a hold on our funding of de-sexing, until we have more money to pay for it. This will inevitably mean most of our members having to pause their rescue/trap-neuter-return work (right bang smack in the middle of kitten season), which will inevitably result in more unwanted and vulnerable kittens being born and living short and very hard little lives. Please help!

  • Thank you!!!!

Four days in and we are just over the $1k mark - thank you so much! Community kittens often come into our care looking like this one - suffering from cat flu, flea infestation, and very underweight. These are not wild animals who can fend for themselves, and they do not do well 'on the streets' - every dollar this appeal raises will mean less stray/community kittens born. And the fewer that are born, the more chance those who are have of being rescued and finding one of the very limited number of good homes available. At present, sadly, a 'happy ending' is a far from a certain outcome for a community kitten.

  • Great start!

Less than 24 hoursa and we've already raised enough to spay or neuter 2-3 community cats! That means at least 10, probably more, vulnerable and often sickly kittens that won't be suffering over the next few months.
