Too Many Puppies

Can you help with DESEXING Bully Breeds, Bully Crosses & Brindles in the Nelson/Tasman area? They have too many puppies and too few homes.

Nelson / Tasman

Our project was originally set up with private funding which limited us to 30 dogs. The response has been huge, within a week we'd had more than 30 enquiries. Many dogs who we'd liked to have helped have now missed out, but we have kept a waiting list in case more money can be found.

We're asking for any donation that can go towards the cost of desexing more dogs, every dog (male or female) desexed means fewer unwanted dogs of these breeds are put down.

Unfortunately, we are not a registered charity and so any donations are not tax-deductible.

We walk the dogs at the Tasman Pound, we try hard to rehome them, we care for them all. The hardest breed to rehome of all the dogs going through the Pound are those stigmatised by being part Bully or even just brindle coloured.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
