Tracey needs a hand 💜 She always helps others but can't right now as she has her own journey to conker 💕
Nelson / Tasman
My friend Tracey Rainbow needs some help.
On the 24th of March, Tracey was leaving a friends house on her motorbike in the middle of the wops in Canterbury Nz. She was on her way back to a bike rally, attending with her friends from Nelson when she had her 1st ever motorbike accident. (She has been riding all her life) After hitting a fence and a warratah she got knocked out, she woke and managed to crawl her way back to her bike, find her phone which was in her saddle bags and call her friend that she had just visited. They found her and rang 111. Tracey was collected by helicopter and airlifted to Christchurch Hospital.
She was pretty broken up...Ankle, Foot, Fingers Broken. Bruised Heart. Collapsed Lung. Split Liver.....
Tracey had a full MRI and CT scan. During these proceedings it was found that she was also suffering from a Brain Tumour that was pushing on her brain stem which has been causing a number of troubles for her for a lot of years.. Specialists in Nelson could not find what was causing this and just brushed her off over the years. They also found a large tumour on her kidney adrinel gland.
Tracey was on ACC until her motorbike injuries were healed but then she had to go on the benifit because she had to resign under medical conditions at work as a High Needs Caregiver as she had a turn from the brain tumour and lost her sight etc and waiting on complex brain surgery in Christchurch. So she has had a massive income hit living on a benefit, but she's not sure how long for because she is still tentatively waiting on a date for the surgery on her brain tumour, which she wasn't sure was possible, but has since been told is possible so that's a plus. She has also a number of months of rehabilitation after her operation and a long road ahead with healing and then kidney surgery as well.
If anyone can help her financially, I know as a long time friend of hers she would be eternally grateful to each and everyone. She's helped me before. I'm sure she's helped many of us. Let's help her this time.
Many thanks. If anybody can help in any kind of way. Hold her hands. Cry a bit. Be strong for her. Bake a cake. Hugs and more hugs. Whatever. Grateful. On behalf. Peace out xx
UPDATE...Tracey had Brain Surgery on 13th September 💜 The 8 hour surgery went well but they couldn't get it all as where it is located was a no go area. Tracey is healing and waiting on 3 month MRI after surgery and then back down to Chch to see what is next for her...Maybe Radiotherapy in Dunedin to get the 2 bits that were left.
