Tragic 2020 for our beautiful Matthews whanau

    Kia ora whanau cheyella matthews here wife of tristen Matthews, so tristen is nearly finish 5weeks of treatment with 1week and 2days to go. He is doing pretty well so far as we head into his 6th week of radiation, tired but good with in himself, we are very eager to get home to our children after all of this, yet to move on to the next step of our journey (chemo) thank you everyone for your unconditional support and love it has been hard guys but we will continue to fight through this, miracles happen everyday thank yous all again from the bottom of our hearts

  • Tris progress & update

    Kia-ora whanau & friends,

    Just posting an update on the cuzzy Tristen, so if you don't know Aunty Ruth passed away new years day. An absolute tragedy, the day of the burial Tris & Chey had to leave for tristens first appointment in Auckland to prepare him for radiation which ment leaving all his immediate family after the loss of his mother to make his way along with chey to Auckland hospital. Upon arrival tris an Chey had results come back from overseas his tumor is the first in 7 years they have seen. New findings were made the tumor is (Anaplastic oligodendroglioma) which is a stage 3 tumor it was very complicated to understand the medical terms of this tumor when viewing it on the web (so feel free to look it up.) Since Aunty's passing chey & tris have made frequent trips from whangarei to Auckland & Auckland to whangarei. On the 2nd of Feb they arrived in Auckland to undergo treatment On the 3rd of Feb this is a 6 week treatment this will mean daily for him. That is not all he will also start chemo 30 treatments last one 16.3.21. it has been a very long road for the cuzzies an far from easy. The kids are at home with immediate whanau ♥️ Thank you all for you love, support,prayers & kind words 💚 an thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all donations.     Hi guys this is cheyella wife of tristen tasha Wilson is whanau from my side of the family she is the one that has made the page on behalf of me and tristen we are yet to hear from the team for when tristen will go for radiation but will update when we have a date, love yous all and thank yous for your support whanau
