Nicole is a remarkable 33-year-old mother to her 11-year-old son, Dejah, and a loving partner to Cory. She is also a devoted fur mum and a cherished daughter, sister, and friend.

The healthcare system has not provided her with clear answers or effective treatment options, and I want to help ease some of the burden she faces on this challenging journey.

In March, Nicole discovered a small lump in her breast and promptly scheduled a doctor's appointment. Unfortunately, she was advised to wait a month for further evaluation. By the time she finally saw her doctor in April, the lump had significantly grown. Despite her previous experience with a benign lump in 2020, the situation escalated.

After weeks of uncertainty and pain, Nicole underwent surgery on August 14th, only to learn afterward that she had been misdiagnosed with benign breast tissue. The shocking news came on August 21st: she had a rare and aggressive breast cancer.

Since then, Nicole has made the brave decision to undergo a mastectomy and will start chemotherapy soon. She is facing 24 rounds of treatment, and with a new lump appearing in her other breast, our thoughts are with her and her family as they navigate this crisis.
