Connecting New Zealand to Australia for people with dwarfism to build relationships and educate.
Nationwide
We are raising funds for an opportunity for people with dwarfism in New Zealand to attend a convention in Australia. The convention will be a chance to connect with others with dwarfism across a week long of connection and community.
This convention is a week long with a variety of focuses throughout the week.
Members will be attending the 4th Asia Pacific Bone Symposium on the 27th-28th in Melbourne. This Symposium will provide New Zealand members access to medical advice, knowledge and updates that is unavailable in New Zealand. This Symposium would benefit all members, especially young families new to the scene.
We all then head to Phillip Island for the remainder of the Convention at Phillip Island where we will continue to connect, inspire and encourage members through a variety of team building activities and sports, through to workshops targeted at different ages further promoting knowledge and supports available for people with dwarfism.
Little People of New Zealand supports and informs people with dwarfism as well as their families. LPNZ sets out to embrace, educate and create awareness in a responsive and professional way promoting flexibility and social change.
Money will be put towards general convention costs including, transportation, venue hire, activities, guest speakers, disability sport providers, meals) which will lower the overall costs of those attending making it a more accessible event.
