Travel to Texas to lift a catapult. (No honestly, its a catapult.)

$500 of $2,500 goal
Given by 1 generous donor in 7 days

This fundraiser is to finance a trip to Texas for a catapult research project.

Manawatu / Whanganui

I need to travel to Texas because Robert has built the world largest inswinger ballista, which is apparently what you do in Texas. It weighs 2 Ton and he needs help with it to get the machine put together and actually fire some shots.

So why me you ask? Well because I kind of designed it so it's a little bit my fault. Also, it is part of a long-term research project I am working on and it helps to actually be present for the data collection.

Everyone who donates to the project will receive an acknowledgement in the book about the project.

Use of funds

The money raised will be used for airfares, travel and food while in the US. If the project fails to reach its required level the money will be used for a local project to build a number of large-scale onager.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
