Gender affirming surgery fundraiser for the one and only Taongahuru

Nationwide

Many of us have been blessed by the light, essence, and energy of the one and only Taongahuru. This year, ia set off in a journey for her gender affirming surgery. She has given so much to her friends, whānau, and community, now it's our time to give back.

Every dollar contributed to this page will go towards supporting her on this journey, we will be setting up events and opportunities for us to celebrate her life and raise funds to support Taongahuru to achieve the p**** of her dreams.

This fundraiser page has been put together by Friends of Taongahuru™

Any and all funds raised will contribute to Taongahuru's surgery fund, every dollar matters! In any event where we exceed the amount of pūtea required, will go back to supporting other community fundraisers.

Use of funds

Funds will go to costs of the surgery, anaesthesia fee, travel expenses to Thailand, food expenses, accommodation, and supporting living costs. A full breakdown of estimated costs will come in a Page Update when she's had a chance to talk to a team.

Thank you for coming to the T4T Garage Sale!!!! 6 May 2026

A HUGE thanks to everyone that came through for the TAONGA 4 TAONGA Garage Sale/Market Day extravaganza last weekend and grabbed themselves some new clothes, trinkets, prints, and bites! We had an absolute blast running it, so keep an eye out for more events in the future.

We managed to raise over $2k from the market to go towards Taongahuru's fundraiser so that's been knocked off the total goal for the page! Keep sharing and look out for other ways you can tautoko 💖
