Bottom surgery fundraiser for the one and only Taongahuru

Many of us have been blessed by the light, essence, and energy of the one and only Taongahuru. This year, ia set off in a journey for her bottom surgery. She has given so much to her friends, whānau, and community, now it's our time to give back.

Every dollar contributed to this page will go towards supporting her on this journey, we will be setting up events and opportunities for us to celebrate her life and raise funds to support Taongahuru to achieve the p**** of her dreams.

Any and all funds raised will contribute to Taongahuru's surgery fund, every dollar matters! In any event where we exceed the amount of pūtea required, will go back to supporting other community fundraisers.

Use of funds

Funds will go to costs of the surgery, anaesthesia fee, travel expenses to Thailand, food expenses, accommodation, and supporting living costs. A full breakdown of estimated costs will come in a Page Update when she's had a chance to talk to a team.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
