Help Michelle get the treatment she needs and maintain her health and wellness for as long as possible.
Hawke's Bay
A few months after graduating as a Naturopath & Herbalist my sister Michelle (aged 48 years) found a lump in her breast. She was diagnosed with Triple negative metaplastic breast cancer. She chose to have a mastectomy in December 2014 & underwent chemotherapy. Unfortunately cancer hadn’t finished with her, as shortly after chemo she found a lump on her chest (also by her jugular), which turned out to be cancer. Treatment then called for 6 weeks of radiotherapy in Palmerston North – away from her family.
Unbelievably only a couple of months later, her latest diagnosis shows the cancer has metastasised & spread to her lungs and bones. With one of the most aggressive cases of breast cancer seen by her oncologist, Michelle is running out of options, but she's not giving up.
Michelle’s only hope of extending her life is to travel overseas for treatment, which comes at a significant cost. Our goal is for this treatment to provide Michelle with valuable time with her son & husband (and extended family).
Anyone who knows Michelle will tell you she’s a beautiful soul. She’s empathetic, caring (hence choosing a profession that helps people), has a great sense of humour, intelligent, an animal lover, lots of fun, a huge fan of Pearl Jam, she’s is a loving mother and wife, daughter, sister, aunty, loyal friend & a FANTASTIC naturopath.
As you can see we really don’t want to loose such a special lady. We’d love for her to get well enough to use her Naturopathic knowledge to help people in need, as she has so much more to give.
Money raised for Michelle will go towards her treatment and maintaining her health and wellness for as long as possible.
Any support would be very gratefully appreciated.
My name is Belinda, I've selfishly posted this for my sister Michelle as I can't image my life without my best friend / sister. The treatment she needs to extend her life is overseas & very costly. My hope is we can help her get there.
