1 November 2013Welcome! Here is a bit of background.... Please help us raise money to help Trina and her family. She is my amazing big sister who has recently had to undergo a pharyngolaryngectomy (basically had her voice box removed) due to a rare cancer they found in her neck. It isn't caused by smoking, and is just random bad luck. After this 12hr surgery and couple of weeks in hospital, she is getting used to how things have changed. She is also undergoing radiation treatment - the Gold Coast has no public radiation treatment so she has had to pay to have it done in private, or else travel to Brisbane every day. She has some amazing friends and family who are helping her, her husband Craig and their boy KP, get through all this. I would love it if those who know Trina (and those who don't!) would help us raise some money to support her further. First and foremost the money will help pay for her extensive medical costs and if we get a bonus above that, I think it would be amazing for them to be able to go away on a holiday together.
