Single mum thrives for chance of a lifetime

Aroha is my step daughter. She comes from an extremely talented musical family. Her constant drive and will has got her through hard times and fought to be a musician in her own right, rather than being mums daughter, or dad's daughter. After many years of entering the Gore Gold Guitar awards, 2025 was Arohas year. She entered the Classic and band sections. A dream of a lifetime happened when she won Classic Overall winner!!
Now Aroha has the opportunity to represent NZ in the NZ Showcase in Tamworth January 2026. Something that is a little out of reach for a single mum with a special needs child.
