While Alana waits for a heart transplant please help Troy support their new born baby and two other sons.
Southland
On Friday 6 November 2015 Troy, Alana, Connor and Oliver welcomed into the world a beautiful boy named Carter. Following the birth Alana soon became unwell and was diagnosed with peri-partum cardiomyopathy. She was then airlifted to Dunedin Hospital and was soon transferred to Auckland City Hospital.
Unfortunately Alana's condition has deteriorated and she has now been placed on the transplant list awaiting a heart transplant.
She remains in Auckland City Hospital heavily sedated until a heart becomes available. In the meantime Troy is caring for his 2 sons awaiting news of Alana's pending surgery.
Troy and Alana's friends and family would appreciate your financial contribution to assist Troy with caring for his sons, travelling to and from Auckland and covering the general cost of living without having to worry about working. Any contributions would also allow both Alana and Troy's families to be in Auckland with Alana for christmas.
I'm involved in this because I am a friend of Troy and Alana's.
Update 13 December 2015
I want to start this update with a huge thank you on behalf of Troy and Alana's family. Your support, both financial and otherwise, has been amazing, and is very much appreciated. Apologies for the delayed update but it has been a busy few weeks for Alana.
Alana was fortunate enough to get a heart transplant on the 25th of November. The donor heart was transported from Australia. As you can imagine it was a lengthy surgery and has not been all smooth sailing. Since the initial surgery, Alana has required seven further operations. During the last few days she has been successfully weaned off heart bypass and is starting to make small improvements. She is not out of the woods yet, but it is great to hear that she is finally making some gains.
Again a big thank you for all of your support. Please keep Troy and Alana in your thoughts. Will provide another update prior to Christmas.
Your message will be displayed on the page and emailed to the donor.
