Trying to end my credit card debt …

$1,018 of $14,000 goal
Given by 10 generous donors in 11 weeks

Swallowing my pride to try and be debt free.

Nationwide

I’ve tried debt solve charities (like good shepherd) for mentoring/budgeting & received good advice to reduce costs such as phone plan, electricity changes, I moved to a tiny rental studio 3 years ago from a year of house sitting after retirement at 71 from public hospital nursing, shift work! Now 75 and worried about leaving debt.

We had no children and my husband died 2015 after a 7 year illness with Alzheimer’s. Which is the reason he/we lost a business and paid off all debt then with his superannuation. My savings were depleted by me being the sole breadwinner and trying to make life as normal as possible for my Nino (John).

So I owe Amex $8659 (hasn't been used for years) also have a bank credit card with $5000 debt.

Insolvency is the last option so trying this as just thought even $20 from some kind person - or a lotto winner would contribute in some way:)

Update-

(Yahoo both CCards looking so much better now due to your support on this page and some very other kind friends…

Amex $6900 & Visa below $4000 as of this past week:)

Use of funds

Repaying credit card debt and then closing the accounts, so total of $14,000

The Amex account would be closed off first.

Thank you for your support...  7 September 2024

Your support has meant a lot to me & my mental fortitude to keep on working at becoming debt free. My 'give a little' that was raised was paid out last week and I then paid it direct into my Amex credit card. I'm so grateful to this online support and also to the dear friends who have given me considerable support privately.

I know there are so many individuals and families that need support more than me, just to live in some instances, so i am again more than grateful.

A million thank you's. Love Sandie
