Trying to help people in our community who don't have even the basic essentials for healthy living.

$210 donated
Given by 5 generous donors in around 5 months

We seek to help members of our community by supporting them with some of life's essentials as and where we are able. We need help.

Pukekohe, Auckland

Each day increasing numbers of people in the Pukekohe Community are desperately seeking help for food for their families as prices for rent, power water and suchlike continue to increase. This makes it impossible for some families to provide shelter, clothing, or healthy food for their whanau. For many years we have successfully supported the people of our community but we are currently having to look where we can cut our services which we do not want to do. As we do want to support our communities.

We provide weekly gatherings for older people who are often lonely and isolated, first time parents and babies support group which provides social contact and has a sharing educational component relevant to the babies ages. There is also a programme for people who have experienced significant changes in their lives - loosing job or home, moving to a new community, death, suffering from criminal event, losing a physical ability, death or separation.

By working together we can bring some brighter moments to the lives of others. We are fortunate to have an organisation that supports us by offering financial advise and we do expect people to take advantage of this if they are repeatedly needing support. Many of the local social service organisations make referrals to us seeking practical support for their clients. Every donation of any amount helps others. Charitable donation receipts are available.
