Tui's Standing Wheelchair

Hi I'm Tui a 23 year Old woman living with cerebral palsy. I am asking for support to purchase a standing wheelchair . Having this chair will not only increase my independence but give me but improve my chances of being able to train as a youth counselor . It is extremely important i get to help others like me in gratitude to the hundreds of people who are the reasons I am not only alive but thriving .Unfortunately these chairs are not provided by the government so we must fund them ourselves no small feat when the average price is $34,000. Enable will cover approximately 14,000 of this which helps but I still need to raise $20,000 before I can access that grant.

It has been a very long journey I have been through many surgeries most of which have been with the goal of standing. Due to thus I have screws in multiple places and a impressive total of 12kgs of metal. I also have no voluntary movement in my lower legs beyond the range i have in my knees which is only around half of normal range. All the movement in my spine is gone due to complete fusion because it was the only hope of saving my life.

Standing is no small feat and for most of my life I have believed it was impossible, We have come so far mentally physically after through a lot of blood, sweat ,tears and countless long nights due to the effect thus on my chronic pain. Yet I will continue to make these sacrifices and willingly give 110% because I believe it is more possible now than its ever been. I sure as heck didn't battle all that have and will continue to for the rest of my life to quit now! Thanks for taking the time to learn about me you're support is extremely appreciated!
