Blair and Ally are having twin girls! Be part of the Fire Service virtual baby shower :-)
Wellington
Blair ‘Stumpy’ Marriott has been part of the Fire Service family for the last 17 years. For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure, Blair was a firefighter in Porirua and Johnsonville up until 2010 when he was involved in a motorcycle crash and had his right leg amputated above the knee. Since that time he has continued his service as our resident SMS System Administrator, and very own bionic man! 2014 saw Blair under go a new process called osseointegration to insert a titanium rod into his thigh bone.
2014 has been a big year in another way....Blair and his wife Ally are having twin girls!
In the brief time I have known Blair he has donated some of his gear to the volunteer Operational Support Unit in Wellington, and loaned me his Level 2 gear to support training efforts for the Firefighter’s Sky Tower Challenge. As with many of his peers in the Fire Service he is a good man, with a good heart.
I’m inviting you to take part in a 'virtual' baby shower allowing Blair and Ally to make choices about the many and varied needs of twin girls with any funds raised.
Thank you for any contribution that you are able to make, and also for your support in keeping this a covert operation!
I'm co-ordinating the Fire Serivce virtual baby shower and will ensure all funds raised get to Blair and Ally
