Fundraising for Jiu-Jitsu World Champs in Japan 2026

Nationwide

We are two brothers who have been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since November 2024 with the opportunity to compete at the SJJIF World Championship in Japan, 3-6 September.

It has helped us develop self-control, resilience, and humility, while giving us a physical outlet pursue and hone our skills. 2025 was a successful year for us, taking part in multiple competitions:

Dallas (10yrs) - current grey/black belt

NZBJJF Auckland Kids Open 2025

- Gi - Silver

- No-Gi - Bronze

LSBJJF Open 1st Ed. 2025

- Gi - Gold

NZBJJF Oceania Open 2025

- Gi - Gold

LSBJJF Open 2nd Ed. 2025

- Gi - Gold

NZBJJF Nationals 2025

- Gi - Gold

- No-Gi - Gold

Micah (8yrs) - current grey belt

NZBJJF Auckland Kids Open 2025

- Gi - Bronze

LSBJJF Open 1st Ed. 2025

- Gi - Gold

NZBJJF Oceania Open 2025

- Gi - Silver

LSBJJF Open 2nd Ed. 2025

- Gi - Bronze

NZBJJF Nationals 2025

- Gi - Gold

- No-Gi - Gold

There is now the opportunity, and perhaps our only chance, to demonstrate our knowledge and skills on the world stage in Japan. It is a big step up, but one we are looking forward to, representing our friends, family, and academy.

While we are actively seeking sponsorship and fundraising opportunities, we are grateful for any support that helps us reach our goal of competing at the SJJIF World Champs 2026. We will either win, or we will learn! :)

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
