Tylas fight with Endometriosis

My little sister Tyla has suffered being in extreme pain for the last 7 years. Including being admitted to hospital twice in the last few years with no results. Sent home being told its all in her head - but with more pain killers.

Tyla is a very active person she works and studies full time and plays netball. But due to this pain its getting to the stage where she is finding it really hard to cope as some days she cant get out of bed from the pain.

We have been to multiple doctors / specialists over the years and always had the same result - more pain killers and no diagnosis

Then finally a couple of months ago we found someone who went through the exact same situation as Tyla but had more luck with a specialist in Christchurch. We got in contact with the specialist and made an appointment.

Then finally a diagnosis! Endometriosis!

Endometriosis is a disorder in which tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside the uterus.

With endometriosis, the tissue can be found on the ovaries, Fallopian tubes or the intestines. Which can be fixed with an operation - NO MORE PAIN KILLERS!

Finally after 7 years she finally has some answers and a way to fix this pain shes been in for son long.

Unfortunately there is one last hurdle Tyla has to face, coming up with the money for her surgery. She has been told that her surgery will cost around $15,000 and for any young person trying to work and study that is a lot of money to come up with.

So I have decided to set up this page to hopefully help Tyla come up with the money sooner so she can have this operation and finally be able to live without this pain. All funds raised will go towards paying for the operation itself as it is not covered by the public health system.
