Tyson Sykes

Hi my name is Tyson , I am 28 years old and and live locally in Rotorua.

I have recently been selected in the New Zealand Boxing Team as the only light heavy weight boxer (81kgs) to compete at the Asia Oceania Olympic Qualifying Event held in China from the 23rd of March to the 3rd of April 2016.

I am currently seeking financial support to join with me to help my Olympic Dream come true.

We have to raise $5000.00 each for the trip which will cover International and Domestic flights/travel, Accommodation, Team Uniform, Travel Insurance and Chinese VISA.

Boxing has always been a huge part of my life ever since I was born. I have grown up watching my dad compete in Boxing events in New Zealand and representing the country on several International stages.

I decided to pursue my own dream of competing at the Olympics to match up against the best in the world and to bring home an Olympic medal for my country , for my family and for my home town. I feel the best I have ever felt in my life and I am more than ready to take that step.

I believe I can do it. I have the skills and the passion to create my future and Rio Olympics is in my sight.
