Getting Toby to London for the World Under-23 Ultimate Frisbee Championships

Welcome and thanks for checking out my page. I'll try keep it brief.

I have always wanted to represent New Zealand internationally and so last year when they announced the trials for the Under 23 team I jumped at the opportunity. Thankfully, I was selected for the team and will get to play at the World Champs in London this July.

I have been budgeting hard so that I can get there and training so that I can make the most of it while I'm there.

In order to prepare I have been playing Frisbee four times a week as well as regular fitness and strength training. I have been practicing and playing regularly with the Canterbury club and was even lucky enough to be part of the Christchurch team that recently won the NZ men's national title.

As ultimate is a growing sport in New Zealand I was able to get this amazing opportunity but it also means that we don't receive funding and we have to pay the way ourselves. This is no small commitment as we have to cover costs for flights to London, accommodation, food and multiple training camps as well as many other costs such as transport, uniforms and tournament fees. The estimated cost for this campaign is about $6,600. I work full time as a junior developer but it's a lot to cover so I'm here to do a little fundraising. As always, every little bit helps. Even five dollars - the price of one cup of coffee - would be greatly appreciated.
