Hi, it literally puts me on cloud 9 to be able to write this update. It’s good to have some excellent news, and be on the path to hopefully possibly getting that miracle outcome! When you have cancer you get a scan every 3months to see if the treatments working etc. Angela had hers about a month ago and we got the results about 2 weeks ago but we only got the picture’s of her liver from when she first got diagnosed and then one after 3 months of treatment last week. Firstly her biggest liver lesion was 6.7cm, it's now 3.5cm!! Angela has the same doctor for chemo at Auckland hospital and then for Cetuximab at Harbour care. He is also the head of the oncology department at Auckland hospital. So when he showed us the first scan from when she first got diagnosed he said he has never seen a scan result like that in a person that’s still alive before!! Then when he showed us the scan she just had he said he has never seen results like that before!! I am so proud of her and it shows how much of an incredibly strong person she is!! She was told that if she gets another 2 scan results like this one then we could possibly look at doing something outside the box! This would not have been possible if it wasn’t for all of you amazing people who kindly donated some money to enable her to have this treatment, Thank you so very much! The photo on the right is when she first got diagnosed and the one on the right is after 3 months of treatment. Absolutely amazing!! I can’t even begin to thank you all enough!! You are all absolutely amazing!! ( sorry this update is so late but I didn’t think I could do an update once the page is closed.)

  • To all you amazing people…

      8 December 2022

To all you amazing people I can’t even begin to thank you all enough for your generous donations. Angela was able to have the treatment cetuximab which is awesome! Thanks to you all Angela has now been able to start this treatment, she has had 2 rounds of cetuximab. Before she started treatment her CEA (protein marker) was at 650 and they didn’t expect it to drop until 3rd-4th round of treatment. She has had 3 rounds of chemo and 2 rounds of cetuximab and her CEA level is now at 90.5!! We are all so extremely proud of her and how well she is fighting this, it really is incredible to watch, and I can’t thank you all enough for all these donations!! She would not have been able to start this treatment so soon if it wasn’t for you all and the urgency to start this treatment couldn’t have been anymore higher so thank you so much! She’s looking really good, it’s hard to tell she is sick, the doctors want her to be able to enjoy life and have it be as normal as possible so apart from not hugging people who are sick there are no precautions anyone (or herself) needs to take. This journey wouldn’t be going so well without all of your generous donations, so from the bottom of our hearts thank you all so much!!!! Xxx. Merry Xmas to you all!! 😘

      12 November 2022

On behalf of the Hill family and the Howley family i would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated, from the bottom of our hearts thank you so much!

Angela is doing really well considering what she has had to face. The strength and determination she has is amazing and I’m so proud of her and to have her as my sister. She had her first lot of chemo on Thursday and I’m amazed at how well her body has taken the treatment, it shows how strong she is and the determination she has to fight this.

Thank you again, Angela is blown away at what people are doing for her. Xxx
