Help support our Morunga Whanau to rebuild their lives.
Bay of Plenty
In the afternoon of Tuesday 2nd April, a raging fire destroyed the rural home of my Uncle Paora & Aunty Karen. Leaving them & their whangai child with only the clothes on their backs. She a passionate weaver and him a passionate musician, returned to find their home well a blazed. Surrounded by whanau & friends they watched helplessly as their home & their possessions, including the possessions of other family members go up in flames. In a matter of minutes everything was gone! Although their daughter, son-in law, & 3 children (7-16 yrs) resided in a cabin on site they too have had to leave, as they have no access to running water or power. This was also home to another one of my Aunties. We are thankful no-one was hurt. Whilst they have full insurance cover. The funds raised will help them in the interim to rebuild their lives.
We the whanau of Paora & Karen Morunga thank you for your warm kindness and generosity.
I am a niece of Paoras. I know there are others out there like me who would like to do something to help Paora, Karen and their whanau recover from this tragedy.
Funds will assist with the purchasing of items to rebuild their lives.
