Urgent help needed for children in Burkina Faso
Bay of Plenty
Many of you may be aware of the Islamic extremism that is currently moving further and further into Burkina Faso, relatively unopposed by the government forces, and killing as they go.
The local government has put out an urgent plea for International Needs Burkina Faso to help up to 80 children that have just been displaced by the violence of these extremists. They have threatened a school that is 60km south of our own International Needs school and have demanded that the school change the language they use (French) to Arabic or else will be “targeted”. They have since closed the school, due to fear and the children have been forced to flee.
These displaced children, who are now essentially internal refugees, need our support and help! International Needs Burkina Faso has put out this urgent plea, to provide desperately needed food, clothing, shelter and education for these children.
They are looking for $12,000 which will go a long way to helping these children. If we can raise $24,000, this will further give them a chance for a real future.
Will you please consider helping these vulnerable and desperate children for whom the fear of these terrorists is very real.
International Needs is a Christian organtisation that empowers local indigenous leaders as they reach their own people in need.
The money raised will be used to feed, cloth, provide shelter and further their education.
If we raise $24,000, we can give safety for 2 years 29 October 2021
After a bit of research, we have calculated by raising $24,000, we can supply these children with everything they need for two years. This gives them a real chance to start a new life after being forced from their homes.
