  • Money fundraised on Zakiyah update

    Hello friends.

    I would like to inform you that since target was met for Zakiyah's medical journey, and after a portion of money fundraised on here was used to pay for the airfares of one of her siblings who accompanied her to India. The remainder of Zakiyah's money is with us and we are seeking approval from all donors if we may use it on a baby that is currently in India for surgery on her brain/head. We had assumed she would only have one operation but doctor's are now wanting top perform two more before all medical care is complete. So this requires more money towards medical costs, accommodation and other expenses etc. If more proof is needed please do not hesitate to ask. We are happy to provide.

  • Zakiyah's Operation Update and the reason for closing the page earlier than intended.

    I closed this page earlier than intended as there were other collections taking place at the same time too and target goal was met with all fundraising going on.

    Once the money is in my account, I will transfer it to Fiji.

    Because of generous donors like you, Zakiyah has already flown to India and has had her surgery where they removed the kidney which was not functioning and is now recovering, though she is in much pain as expected. I will give more updates as there could possibly be more treatments performed on her.

    Once I have sent the money to Fiji, the NGO organizer Razia Mohammed will pay part of the bill with the whole of this money.

    Razia is the one who organized fundings, airfares, treatment, accommodation etc as she is the founder of Being Helping Hand Fiji.

    Once again we thank you, without your donations Zakiyah's journey to recovery would not have been possible.

  • Treatment has started!

    Zakiyah has safely reached India a few days ago and after a decent rest she has started with her much needed treatment. Please do remember Zakiyah in your prayers 🙏.

  • Condition worsening

    I spoke with Zainab this morning, who is Zakiyah's mum.

    She told me that Zakiyah's condition is worsening and that now she is experiencing severe stomach pains which is also creating some other unpleasant side effects.

    Please keep our beautiful Zakiyah in your prayers and help her reach her treatment costs by spreading the word/link to as many people as we can.
