URGENT SURGERY

We would like to raise money for our amazing mother Maria Dagmar Polasek Alzamora. I am from Guatemala and my mother lives there but I have lived in New Zealand for many years.

Dagmar is an amazing human being. She has lost two daughters our sisters ages 10 and 4. This tragedy inspired my mother to help parents that have lost their children. She has founded a support group for grieving parents. Through counselling Dagmar has been able to help so many people. She has a heart of gold. She is full of love and compassion.

Through all these years my mother has been suffering from Degenerative Rheumatoid Arthritis, an immune system illness that progressively is deteriorating her body.

Rheumatoid Arthritis has attacked parts of her body where she has had to have very complicated surgeries. She has had 4 big surgeries two on her back which she had to have 4 months of recovery . One surgery on her knee and one on her shoulder. All this surgeries have generate debts and the insurance company wont ensure her anymore. Medication helps but it also damages other parts of her body.

She has been suffering from severe back pains since last year and this has left her in bed for long periods of time. With coronavirus she was not able to see doctors or get the right treatment.

A few weeks ago, she managed to see a specialist and she was told that some vertebrae on her spine have suffered a great deal due to her illness.

If she does not get a surgery soon she will end up paralyzed from the neck down.

The cost of the surgery is impossible for us to pay. This Surgery is URGENT

We want to raise money so we can pay for the surgery and the medication and the costs that follow such a complicated surgery.

We would like my Mother to have a better quality of life the operation is a must otherwise she won´t be able to walk anymore.

We will use the funds to cover the cost of the operation and the cost of the medication.

Queremos recaudar fondos para nuestra fabulosa madre María Dagmar Polasek Alzamora. Yo soy de Guatemala y mi madre vive allí, pero yo he vivido en New Zealand por muchos años. Dagmar es un ser humano fabuloso. Ella ha perdido 2 hijas, nuestras hermanas de las edades de 4 y 10 años. Esta tragedia la inspiró para ayudar a padres que perdieron a sus hijos. Fundó un grupo de ayuda para pasar EL DUELO. Dando Counselling ella ha venido ayudando a muchas personas, sin costo alguno. Tiene un corazón de oro, ya que está llena de amor y compasión.

A través de estos años mi madre ha estado sufriendo de Artritis Reumatoidea Degenerativa, enfermedad del Sistema Inmunológico que progresivamente le está deteriorando su cuerpo. Esta enfermedad ha atacado partes de su cuerpo, por lo que ha tenido cirugías muy complicadas. Tales como son 4 cirugías, dos en su espalda, que pasó 4 meses en recuperación; una cirugía con prótesis en rodilla y la otra igualmente en su hombro. Estas dejaron deudas y ya no tiene seguro médico. Las medicinas ayudan, pero también a veces dañan otras partes del cuerpo.

Recientemente ha estado sufriendo de dolores crónicos de espalda desde el año pasado y ha tenido que estar en reposo por períodos de tiempo. En la Pandemia fue mas difícil. Hace unas semanas, le diagnosticaron que la tienen que operar de la columna de nuevo. Si no se opera pronto, terminará paralítica desde la nuca. El costo de la cirugía es imposible a pagar. Es URGENTE.

Esta es la razón por la que queremos recaudar fondos. Deseamos que mi madre tenga una mejor calidad de vida, de otra manera ya no podrá caminar. Usaremos los fondos para cubrir la cirugía y los medicamentos.
