Helping David, a hard working year 11 Vanuatu student to go to secondary school.
International
Only 25% of Ni-Vanuatu students can afford to attend secondary school. Money is hard to earn on the outer islands, and particularly difficult after cyclone Pam last year damaged houses and crops. David hopes to become a sea captain one day, so needs a secondary education. Money collected will be paid to David's school direct.
I live on a boat and sail to Vanuatu annually. I meet many locals who cannot afford to send their children to school. As a teacher, I believe that education is essential and try to help as many students as possible.
I've run raffles, concerts and busking and thanks to schools; Nelson College for Girls, Raphael House School and Waimea College for their help in the past.
This year, I'm looking for some help from Give a Little to pay David's fees.
