Victor will go through 8 weeks of ruthless boxing training to prepare for the UCSA Winterlude Charity Fight, all for the Women's Refuge!
Gisborne
Hi, I'm Victor Chang, and I will be going through 8 weeks of intense training and participating in an official boxing match (handled by Round 12 Boxing), in the name of the Women's Refuge.
The Women's Refuge help a woman every six minutes on their crisis lines, and are here to help prevent and stop family violence in New Zealand. Unfortunately, the stats for family violence in our country are not great, so any help that can be given would be a tremendous assistance. Family violence is not an issue that will go away if we ignore it, so we must take action.

If you'd rather not donate, but are in Christchurch, then definitely come check out the fights (including mine)! Details here: http://ucsa.org.nz/events/charity-fight-night/
I'm involved because I will be fighting in the 65kg-69kg weight class on fight night. I'm a 3rd year Software Engineering student, and my usual sport of choice is golf - which should make a fast track into boxing interesting!
