Thank you so much for the generous and overwhelming support of Victoria and her family. They were able to get her father's ashes and go with her family to scatter them at one of her father's favourite places he used to visit when he came to NZ. He is finally at peace and the family is relieved he does not have to suffer any longer. But now the challenge is keeping their little family together as Victoria's mum dreads the day she may have to return to Ukraine and a place that has no family or support or connection for her any longer. Victoria's parents and brother had already fled Crimea during the first Russian take over and this is the second time they have had to leave a home and business that is not likely to be there (at least not the way they left it) when they return. Please continue to support this family as they fight for the right to stay in New Zealand permanently. They want to continue to work and get on their feet and contribute to this beautiful country that has been so kind to them.

  • Rebuilding a new life in New Zealand.

      17 June 2022

Victoria’s mother and brother have been blown away by the support and kindness they have received in New Zealand. They have been able to find work and hope to remain in NZ as their home town in Ukraine is not safe to return to. Their neighbors home has been destroyed along with many others. They will have no way of returning for their belongings either as they were only able to bring what they could carry with them. They would like to rebuild their lives close to their family here but will need a car and accommodation for Victorias mother if that is to happen. They will also need to petition for refugee status for permanent residence or citizenship. We have uncapped donations for those interested in contributing for these and ongoing expenses. Thank you ever so much for your generosity 💕

Dear family, there is a possibility to get support from the government with expenses on the lawyers to work on your refugee claim. Check it out with an immigration lawyer in Invercargill. Also help with day to day expenses, accommodation, education and medical assistance is available as well - there is special WINZ program for refugee claimants. Again, check with the immigration lawyer, they should know all details and will explain your rights. I really hope the process of settlement here will be simple, as you are obviously need it! If you have questions - feel free to contact me, as I had to assist several families, who were forced to flee Russia because of severe persecution.
