On 2 September, we shared an unforgettable evening with Echoes of Home: A Musical Journey Across Time at the Hunter Council Chamber, Victoria University of Wellington.

Through music, dance and storytelling, the performance carried the audience from the innocence of childhood (Once Upon a Time), through resilience and struggle (The Years We Won’t Forget), to hope and unity (Us – Today).

We are deeply grateful to our performers, volunteers and supporters who poured their hearts into the show, and to our audience whose presence made the evening truly special.

This project shows the power of community and cultural exchange, and with your support, we can continue to create more spaces where Vietnamese culture is shared, celebrated and passed on to future generations.

🌿 Stay tuned for our next Echoes of Home performance on 29 November 2025.

💖 Your donations make a difference. Every contribution helps us cover venue costs, support our artists, and provide resources so that these cultural experiences remain accessible to the community. Thank you for helping us keep the spirit of home alive in Aotearoa.

What an incredible start to September!

📌 2/9 – Echoes of Home: A Musical Journey Across Time

We celebrated Vietnam’s 80th Independence Day with music, storytelling, and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who joined us to honour our heritage and share this milestone together.

    📌 6/9 – Fusion Baking Workshop

Our first-ever FREE Fusion Baking Workshop with Vy Vu (Vyllain Cooks) was a huge success! From Kiwi cheese scones to a bold Vietnamese twist with salted egg yolk, pork floss, and lạp xưởng — participants baked, laughed, and learned together.

Both events were a beautiful reminder of how culture connects us — whether through song or food. 💛

Proudly partnered with Pomare Taita Community Trust & E Tū Whānau
