Vision-saving surgery for Jadwiga

Hi everyone. Jadwiga is Joanna's mother. She needs urgent surgery to treat glaucoma, which has already irreparably destroyed one eye. Without surgery, she will likely go blind.

Jadwiga is elderly but still sharp as a tack. She had a long career as a lawyer, only retiring at age 88.

She still lives alone at 91 years old.

She is a tremendous cook, very politically active (this photo is actually her voting), and a dog-lover.

She lived through the Holocaust in Poland. As a child, she was in the Warsaw Ghetto, from where she was rescued by unknown Polish people. She lost a sister in the war. Then, she lived through Communism.

She is a mother and grandmother and great-grandmother and a wonderful mother-in-law.

All donations go towards the costs of her surgery, which costs 8200PLN / ~$3800 NZD.
