Volunteering in Fiji

In January 2019 I’ll be off to Fiji for 7 months, living with a Fijian host family and volunteering at the local schools and working with the within the wider community.

I will be volunteering abroad through an organisation called Lattitude. During my time in Fiji I will be teaching in a local primary school as well as working with the wider community. Volunteers are needed to give these children care, attention and companionship, as well as providing them with basic education.

This will be an incredibly rewarding experience, making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children. My costs include program fees which pay for accommodation, food, orientation, transport, in-country support staff, and pre/post-placement support from Lattitude, as well as other costs and resources to support the school and the local village where I will be staying, any help would be very much appreciated.

I am really excited to go and the opportunity to make a difference in children's lives and their education where resources and teachers are limited. This will be the most rewarding, worthwhile experience for me, not only allowing me to help those in need, but also to meet other volunteers from around the world and to immerse myself in a new culture.
