Wahine Māori United Nations UNPFII New York Trip April/May 2027

NZ Parliament is ignoring, so I'm going to tell.

The United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) is a high- level advisory body to the Economic and Social Council, with the mandate to deal with indigenous issues related to economic and social development, culture, the environment, education, health and human rights. I'm planning to participate and speak at the 10 day event held at the UN HQ in New York 2027.

My initial basic Parliamentary Petition to Increase Māori Electorates, turned into research that uncovered blatant Māori Electoral Inequities to purposely suppress rightful representation in NZ Parliament. If you subtract Māori adults enrolled on the General Roll from the total Māori descent usually resident in nz population the result is 10.34 Seats, instead of the 7 seats atm.

- The Māori Electoral Ratio is irrelevant and needs to be put to rest.

- New Statistical formulae that is equitable, fair, and more transparent:

MEP = d - g and GEP = (u - d) + g

- Increase of 3 Māori electorates = 3 less General Electorates

I propose to correct these blatant electoral inequities OR delete Māori seats altogether. It's not difficult, one or the other. Meanwhile.......

Application for Te Wahine Ora o Hakepa Foundation to have NGO 'Special Consultative Status' at the UN, in January 2026 , when TWOOHF will have been established for two years.
