Contribute to the installation of two beautiful signs about the native birds and trees of the Waiatarua Reserve.
Meadowbank, Auckland
The Waiatarua Reserve is an oasis of green amidst the bustle of Auckland, full of native plants, trees, and birds. A small group of local community members have already contributed to the design of two beautiful signs about the plants and birds which can be seen in the Reserve in order to enhance the experience and appreciation of visitors. We have received the go-ahead from the local board but we a bit short of what we need to print and construct the signs so they can be enjoyed for many years to come.
I am a member of the Waiatarua Protection Society, a community group working towards the preservation of Waiatarua Reserve, a unique ecological jewel for residents and for future generations.
The money will be spent on the printing and installation of two all-weather signs to be installed in the Waiatarua Reserve celebrating its native birds and plants
WE'VE DONE IT!! 25 April 2023
Thanks to the generosity of all those who donated, we have secured the funding needed for the printing and installation of our signs!! We have also secured the required Land Owner Approval from Council and Ōrākai Local Board approval for the designs so they have been sent off to the printers and we hope to have them up and available to enjoy within a few weeks!!
