Thanks to the Mopars in the South who came to our pub on Saturday with a full hundred plus convoy of Mopars, then donated to our givealittle. We thank you very much for that!

November 14th earthquake damaged our beautiful Grand Lady, The Waiau Lodge Hotel. We managed to get a temp bar up and running so we could have somewhere for our locals to meet and catch up.
My business partner lives in our shed, while I live in an ex smoko portacom, and we both do not have amenities but we are surviving, and our main concern, besides saving our hotel, is to save our temp bar from being taken away.
We need to pay $92,000 by December, although the company advised they may be a bit flexible.
The only money we received from the quake that we could touch was the EQC topup, which was used to complete the Waiau Tavern. This was due to no Natural Disaster Cover.
Every night and day we worry as to what our future brings, even if xmas will come around for us.
