Supporting the many Environmental initiatives of the Waiheke Resources Trust. A registered charity and not-for-profit organisation.

Nationwide

We are a small trust working to create a great place to live. We do lots of different things to reach that goal, including education, programmes, and events, and there are lots of different issues that we think are important: water, waste, food resilience, biodiversity, energy and transport.

About us

The Waiheke Resources Trust is a environmental organisation based on Waiheke Island in the Hauraki Gulf, Aotearoa. We are about creating a great place to live. We do lots of different things to reach that goal, including education, programmes, and events. There are lots of different issues that we think are important: water, waste, food resilience, biodiversity, energy and transport. The concept that underpins our work is the importance of a healthy and thriving environment. Such an environment allows a community to flourish, and within that community a strong economy can exist.

We work to celebrate and protect all the resources we have already, and build capacity and knowledge in the community toward the creation of a resource-full future for all.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
