Waimauku Scout Group - Our journey

$5,441 of $100,000 goal
Given by 52 generous donors in over a year

We are seeking financial support to help us maintain our scout den; to fund our youth to attend Jamborees & for Leadership training.

Auckland

The Motutara-Waimauku Scout Group has over 100 youth and leaders.

With 5 years of persistence & effort we now have our new den on council land at the top of Pollard Lane in Waimauku.

It has been a mammoth project of rebuilding, replacing beams, and re-roofing, re-wiring, plumbing, water tanks & septic, painting, decking & creating car parking space.

We very much appreciate all the help & assistance given from our local community, businesses, the Waimauku Lions & the grants that we managed to obtain to get our den to completion. Not only for our new Scouting home, but this is also to the benefit of the wider community.

We are always looking for financial support, be it for ongoing maintenance of the new den, fundraising to help to allow as many youth as possible to attend a Jamboree, whether it is here in NZ, or Australia, or a Worldwide Jamboree; for Leadership training, First Aid courses, and so much more.

About us

We are a non-profit group that relies on donations to provide the funding for us to operate and provide the exciting challenges and life lessons that scouts offers our kids.

Use of funds

The funds will be used on rebuilding and creating an internal and external space for the scout group and the wider community.
