To raise much needed funds for Waipuna Hospice and awareness of our services.
Bay of Plenty
The aim of this walk is to raise awareness and funds to support Waipuna Hospice services embracing “Who is my Super Hero?” by people acknowledging who their hero is or was and walking in remembrance of them.
There will be many people who have had their lives touched by the loss of a loved one, perhaps a partner or child, friend or neighbors. We see this as being a great way to raise the subject of end of life care and community involvement with a fun and easy participation activity. The funds raised will go a long way to helping the 1 in 3 people in our community who will use Hospice Services.
With great support from the community, local businesses, clubs and supporters of Hospice, we want to raise a few eyebrows with some great creative shorts/costumes. Initial registration can be made via Waipuna Hospice directly. All further fundraising can be done via this Givealittle page.
Thank you!
Waipuna Hospice provides specialist palliative care for patients living with a life-limiting illness, and support services for them and their families from Waihi Beach to Paengaroa.
Monies raised will go towards our operational costs at Waipuna Hospice.
