Our school community - students, whanau, and staff - is working together to raise money to purchase new kapa haka uniforms. Our current uniforms are 20+ years old and are in desperate need of replacement.
The Oruanui Marae have allowed us to incorporate a symbol of significance into our uniforms to show the connection between our school and the marae. Our tamariki are very excited and keen to be able to wear their new uniforms.
We need your help. We are fundraising throughout our wider community and would appreciate any and all help to make these uniforms a reality for our school.
I'm involved because I am a teacher at Wairakei Primary School and I would love to allow people the opportunity to donate from near and far.
