Come support a Trans Whanau trying to raise awareness!
Carterton, Wellington
Hi! We are the Parry/Hannen Whanau and we are putting it out there to change some hearts and minds (fingers crossed!) Mindy and her mum Kylie are walking between libraries from Carterton all the way to Wellington, with some help from Rey (Medic/Eldest Enby Child) and other family in the support van.
Why are we walking so far, are we mad? No! We are walking to raise to awareness of the challenges facing Transgender/Queer youth and their families.
What are we doing at the libraries? Mindy and Kylie will be talking and answering questions about parenting/being Trans Youth! All are welcome, especially if you don't know anything about it (don't worry, they don't bite!)
Where/When can you see us?
June 10th, 2pm: Masterton Library
June 11th to 12th: Walking, phew!
